Please excuse our dust. Hueston Woods Lodge is currently under renovation, replacing our roof along with other building improvements. We are taking every step possible to minimize the impact on our guests.

Bald Eagle

The Nature Center

A Must See

The Hueston Woods State Park Nature Center is open 7 days a week year-round. Inside you'll find general park information and several live native reptile species.

The nature center also has a Raptor Rehabilitation Program. On average, 50 injured birds of prey are accepted into the program a year. Nearly 50% of the birds are released back into the wild.

The permanent residents include a Bald Eagle, a Golden Eagle, Rough-legged Hawk, several Red-tailed Hawks, Great Horned Owls, Barred Owls, and Turkey Vultures.

Naturalist Programs are offered monthly. During our busy season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), programs are offered Wednesday through Sunday.
